Richard Mofe Damijo is unarguably the best and most successful in his generation in Nollywood, his career traverses  every strata of mainstream media from reporting for Concord Newspapers and Metro Magazine, and featuring in a television soap opera in the late 80’s titled Ripples.

RMD has carved a niche for himself as a worthy trail blazer, who started the current trend of actors in Nollywood eyeing political appointments and elective positions.

In January 2009, he became appointed in Delta State, under the administration of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, serving two tenures a rear feat even for full-fledged politicians.

Since the end of the Uduaghan led administration, RMD has returned to full scale mainstream acting, and still holds his place as one of Nollywood’s best paid actors.

He is perhaps the best decorated Nollywood actor till date, scooping an average of 2.4 Million Naira per appearance at each GLO Fest; a brand for which he is an ambassador. RMD earns at least three Million Naira, to appear in a movie.

With a career that traverses two decades, RMD remains iconic and a standard for up and coming actors to measure up to.
