Veteran Actress, Bukky Ajayi Turns A Year Older Today

Zainab Bukky Ajayi, who became a Muslim in the early eighties had love for the theatre as a young girl with the thought of becoming an actress someday. She got the opportunity to study in England as a Federal government scholar. Left England for Nigeria after her education in 1965 and started out working in Nigeria Television Authority, as a presentation assistant in 1966 and became a presenter and then a news reader.

She got into Acting in the 70?s where she featured in a Television Drama Titled the Village Headmaster, later got a role in the Amaka Igwe Production television series titled Checkmate. Loves acting and hope to retire in this profession.

Happily Married with Children, one of which is also into music and acting, played the role of Kasali in the Drama Series titled Fuji House of Commotion.
