Following recent threat by the Nigerian movie pirates to release the recent flick by one of Nigeria’s A-list film maker Kunle Afolayan, these incorporated thieves yesterday Monday lived up to billing as thousands of copies of this film were released into the market.
It would be recalled that just last week Kunle had posted a controversial tweet lashing at the Igbo extractions as those responsible for piracy in Nigeria; these had aroused several angry opinions from different quarters some accusing Kunle as being tribalistic and wrongly accusing the south-eastern folks.
Kunle who took to the social media to express his devastation yesterday, this was his post:
Pirated copies of October 1 is now released and everywhere on the street.
We have been announcing and alerting the people on government for years.
It is my turn today. It may be yours tomorrow.
I am devasted. It’s a hostile country. PLEASE DO NOT BUY
