Iquo’s Journal is a powerful social drama written and directed by Blessing Effiom Egbe. It stars Kate Henshaw, Femi Jacobs, Malachi Hart, Blessing Effiom Egbe, and Josephine Ewuru. Kate Henshaw plays the title character, Iquo, who falls victim to AIDS, in the movie. AMVCA winner, Femi Jacobs, plays Banjo Ogunleye, a filmmaker, who is married to Kate Henshaw’s character. Iquo’s Journal is an emotional and brilliantly acted movie, which takes a balanced look at the reality of living with AIDS. It was partly funded by Project ACT Nollywood, and it will be released later this year.
