RITA DOMINIC: One of Nollywood’s Ageless Unmarried Divas

The Nigerian movie industry is blessed with so many screen divas. While most these female stars are just among the rest, just a few of these Actresses have become phenomenal, having carved a niche for themselves in the make believe industry; from the dexterity to which they interpret roles to the respectable way in which they carry themselves in the society.

One of such well respected female thespians who is in a class of her own is light skinned starlet Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Wuturuocha; simply known as Rita Dominic by fans and industry colleagues. The actor whose career dates back to 1998 when she starred in her first flick ‘A time to kill’ has made star appearances in well over a hundred Nollywood titles.

The entertainer whose both parents are medical practitioner has made News headlines with several scandals trailing her. Born on the 12th of July in the year 1975(I would leave you to calculate her age yourself) one would wonder why this screen diva at her age would choose to remain single.reedee super

Rita has been romantically linked with quite a few men in and outside the industry. The AMVCA award winning actress was sometime noted last year to be pregnant for a secret lover as she was noticed with a bulging stomach going around on maternity gown, at some point the actress disappeared from public glare and many supposed she was in the last stage of pregnancy and had gone to put to bed; only for our Imo state born actress to resurface without the pregnancy sign that was previously noticed (What played in between, na only God know o!). The producer of 2012 flick ‘THE MEETING’ was also romantically to Nigerian soccer star and former Chelsea player Mikel Obi as both of them were captured in London taking snapshots in some very suggestive postures.

There have also been gossips that the actress is bisexual (as in she does both men and women) as she has been linked to some Italian chics and Lagos Island big girls.

The Actress was also noted to have had a serious tiff with her colleague Ini Edo, over a deal with the former governor of Akwa Ibom state who gives cash gifts to Nollywood Actresses (Details of their deal, I don’t understand). But it was gathered that smart Reedee, went behind her friend schemed and got the cash; this has since made the two actresses sworn enemies.

My candid opinion to our screen diva, who would clock 40 by next month, is to please make hay while the sun is still shining (Even though Evening is gradually set in). We love our Reedee and hope to see her make a choice to stay committed to a well deserving man (You can bet there are over a thousand suitors) and become a mother. She is a role model afterall.
