Today the 24th of July is the birthday of some of the goddesses that have graced our screen over the years in Nollywood.

Clarion Chukwura born on the 24 July 1964, the actress and humanitarian is a frontliner in the Nigerian movie industry. Her acting career dates back to the 80’s, Clarion was the first Nigerian to win the Best Actress category at the 1982 FESPACO film festival in Burkina-Faso. She has several awards, recognition and mentions to show for the professionalism she has put into her career spanning decades. She is the mother of celebrated Music Video Director Clarence Peter.

Bimbo Oshin was born July 24, 1971 in Ondo State, southwestern Nigeria. She holds a degree in Philosophy from the prestigious University Of Lagos. Bimbo commenced her acting career in 1996 and has produced, directed and featured in several Nigerian films.

Carol King can be best described as the queen of soap operas. Fifteen years ago, Caroline King started acting when she featured in I Need To Know, a radio drama. She went on to do a couple of other soaps but became more famous for her role in Edge of Paradise. The actress has moved on to star in some feature films including the gods are not to blame and she gets applauds for her acting prowess.

Tamara Eteimo, Bayelsa born actress graduated from University of Port Harcourt  where she obtained a degree in Theatre Arts. Tamara Eteimo won the Next Movie Star reality show  in 2011 after graduating. Tamara  has starred in movies like ‘Desperate HouseGirls, ‘Somewhere Down the Line’, Still Born’, ‘Super Story : Itohan’, Mrs Somebody’, Dry’, A Long Night’, Cobweb, finding mercy and a host of other flicks.
