WINNERS-Nollywood & African People’s Choice Awards
NOLLYWOOD & AFRICAN PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS announced the 2015 Winners. The Awards also announced that on Saturday, September 12, 2015 Efya will perform live at the 2015 awards show, from the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. Efya is a multiple award winning singer and songwriter from Ghana. Diamond Platnumz is a Tanzanian music star, who received his first NAPCA nominations and nabs this year’s Favorite Artist of the Year and Favorite Song of the Year for his song “Nana”.
Nigerian Canadian Queen Amina wins the Favorite Actress and Favorite Actor goes to the Congolese actor Mike La Duchesse.
The Nollywood & African People’s Choice Awards is the only major African awards show where fans determine the nominees and winners across categories of movies, music and television.
The Black Pot took home “Favorite Online TV Show” and “Favorite Comedy goes to the Ugandan comedian Kansiime Anne,” while the star of “Silence Le Pure” Marie Solo nabbed Favorite Screenwriter making this her third NAFCA wins. Palava by Monicazation scored “Favorite Music Video” and additional awards categories include Favorite Director (Kelechi Eke) and Favorite Promising Actress went to the Kenyan up and coming actress Clarice Otieno who had a lead role in the NAFCA nominated film The Other Tribe produced and directed by Kelechi Chijindu Eke.
Nollywood and African Film Critics’ Awards is the maker of the 2015 Nollywood & African People’s Choice Awards’ trophy. Designed and hand-made for NAFCA, each 18 Karat gold plated trophy will have a new home with each talented winner.
