A stage play “The Chibok Girls: Our Story,” written by Nigerian playwright, stage and film director, Wole Oguntokun, is set to premiere in Nigeria.

A stage play “The Chibok Girls: Our Story,” written by Nigerian playwright, stage and film director, Wole Oguntokun, is set to premiere in Nigeria.

Set to premiere on December 18, 2015, the play centres on the kidnap of over 200 girls from a secondary school in Chibok – events before the kidnap, the abduction itself, and its aftermath.

the play will kick off its three day stage run from Friday, December 18 to Sunday, December 20, 2015, at the Agip Hall, Muson Centre Onikan, Lagos.

On the night of 14–15 April 2014, 276 female students were kidnapped from the Government Secondary School in the town of Chibok in Borno State, Nigeria.

Responsibility for the kidnappings was claimed by Islamic Jihadist and terrorist organization, Boko Haram.
